Retro Fitting Photovoltaics

The retro-fit fixing method is one of the quickest and easiest ways of mounting PV modules on a pitched roof.

On tiled roofs, roof-hooks are fitted under the tiles to hold the rails, which in turn will hold the modules. The hooks are fixed to the rafters with 3inch coach-screws. Roofing mastic between the base of the roof-hook and the felt ensures integrity. When the tiles are back in place, they sit as flat on the roof as they did before.

For commercial applications there is a wide range of clamps to suit modern roofing materials.
